The Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS) SAR Calibration and Validation Workshop 2024 (CEOS SAR Cal & Val 2024) will be held from 12 to 15 November 2024, in Ahmedabad, India, at the Crowne Plaza Ahmedabad City Centre (to be finalized), and will be hosted by Space Applications Centre, Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Ahmedabad.

The event is planned to be in-person, with remote participation in exceptional cases only.

The workshop’s objective is to provide an open forum for the presentations and discussions related to the following topics:

• Cross-Calibration and Verification
• Analysis Ready Data Products
• Space-based and Ground-based RFIs
• Use of AI for Cal/Val and SAR System Monitoring
• SARCalNet
• AIS-based Validation of SAR-based Vessel Detection and Velocity Estimation
• Calibration of SAR System Parameters for Geophysical Applications (e.g. sea surface height, radial ocean current velocity, terrain surface deformation, biomass/forest structure, soil moisture etc)
