Definition
The path in space described by a satellite revolving around the Earth where the motion of the orbiting satellite is dominated by their mutual gravitational attraction. Orbits can be different and the most common are polar and equatorial. Orbit is nominal when the path is according to the flight plan (e.g. nominal mission).
