Part of a Catalogue Service that contains information needed to identify and retrieve the individual granule(s) of the data set, given the specification of the independent variablerange(s); may contain information extracted from the data set granules (e.g., % cloud cover) as well as information to enable ordering (e.g., Volume ID, file names, etc.).
