Definition

A verification method that utilizes analytical techniques and/or tools to show theoretical compliance with requirements. Analysis includes the detailed review/study of engineering documentation; the performance of modeling and simulation; and the performance of calculations, interpolations, extrapolations, statistics and/or comparisons of analytical or empirical data. This method also applies to requirements to perform an analysis, or that specify how an analysis is to be performed.
