The portal curates and processes webcam data from multiple camera networks, using FMIPROT software with cloud processing. Snow cover and vegetation parameters are estimated, and the resulting data is available via a RESTful API and also visualized in the portal. Snow cover information is fetched using the API by FMI ARKSAT QA Portal to be used in comparison with satellite-based snow products.

The portal curates:

• in-situ snow depth measurements from open data APIs,
• webcam-derived snow cover data from FMIPROT & Camera Network Portal API,
• Copernicus High Resolution Snow products from CLMS API.
• Copernicus moderate resolution snow products from FMI data network.

Satellite-based snow products are compared with in-situ and webcam-derived data in NRT fashion by the processing chains. Results are reported in tables and visualized in interactive maps.
