How To: Get General Information

Use Case A:
You are interested in getting general information on calibration/validation activities and on this portal itself.

  • On the navigation bar on the left side, select 'Information'.
    --> you will find a short introductory text telling which kind of information is available in this section.

  • On the navigation bar on the left side, select 'Information --> Software Version'.
    --> you will find a log listing about the changing history of the CalVal Portal and the underlying software.

  • On the navigation bar on the left side, select 'Information --> About'.
    --> you will find a comprehensive summary telling what the CalVal Portal is about.

  • On the navigation bar on the left side, select 'Information --> How to use the Portal'.
    --> you will find this How-To manual.

  • On the navigation bar on the left side, select 'Information --> FAQ'.
    --> you will find frequently asked questions and answers.

 

Use Case B:
You want to use this portal frequently in future, so you want to ask for a CalVal Portal account to get full access to data related to the projects you are interested in.

  • On the navigation bar on the left side, select 'Feedback'.
    --> you will find a mask with input fields to type your name and email and a feedback message. In this message you can ask for your account (or, of course, send other questions or comments you may have on the CalVal Portal).
The Committee on Earth Observation Satellites (CEOS) is providing information and data for Calibration (Cal) and Validation (Val) of Earth Observation (EO) data through this portal.
